Folk Magic Egg Cleansing With Bodhi

A Folk Shamanic Clearing Rooted in Mountain Magic & Celtic Ancestral Practice

Before there were oracle decks and filtered spirituality, there were grandmothers with bowls of water and hands that knew how to read energy.


The egg cleanse is one of the oldest folk purification practices carried through Celtic lands, Iberian traditions, and into the Appalachian Mountains. In mountain magic, the egg was never “just” an egg — it was life, spirit, and the quiet absorber of what did not belong to you.


In this working, I perform a traditional folk shamanic limpia using fresh egg, prayer, breath, and ancestral invocation. This is not performance magic. This is the old way — the way of hearth smoke, river water, and stone.

How It Is Performed

Within sacred space, I call in mountain current and Celtic ancestral protection. The egg is passed over the body (in person) or worked through focused spiritual proxy (distance). Breath, prayer, and old invocations are used to draw imbalance into the shell — the way it has been done in folk traditions for generations.

The egg is then cracked into water and read in the old style:

  • Webbing and threads

  • Bubbles and spikes

  • Clouding or heaviness

  • Yolk displacement

  • Symbolic formations


These are interpreted through folk omen reading rather than modernized symbolism.

After interpretation, the energy is sealed and disposed of properly according to mountain practice.


Mountain Magic & Celtic Roots

In Appalachian folk shamanism, much of the practice traces back to Scots-Irish settlers who carried over charm prayers, spoken protections, and egg divination. The belief was simple:

If something could take life into itself, it could also take death, sickness, or malice away.

The egg acts as a temporary vessel so your spirit does not have to.

MISSED APPOINTMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

The Blue Bodhi's goal is to provide the highest quality services for everyone. No shows, late arrivals and cancellations are all a necessary evil in today's world. If you know that you will be late or cannot make your appointment, please let us know immediately so Bodhi isn't waiting on an appointment and so your appointment can be given to someone on our waiting list.

No shows are subject to losing your deposit and/or appointment fee. We reserve the right to refuse rescheduling if there have been no show appointments with no communication.

​

Late arrivals within 10 minutes of the appointment time will be able to keep an appointment if the appointment is an hour long. For appointments that are only 30 minutes, 10 minutes late can cause issues with the reading and/or service. If you are 15 minutes late, the appointment must be rescheduled.

CANCELATION POLICY & FEE SCHEDULE FOR  RETREATS

There are no refunds if you cancel within 2 weeks of the start of the retreat. Deposits and payments cannot be transferred to another retreat or another person. If a refund is due, we will refund the credit card used to pay for the retreat.

If you need to cancel a residential retreat, please let us know as soon as possible by sending a message to the site.

The Blue Bodhi books up weeks in advance and there is a waiting list. Cancellations are only accepted 48 hours in advance so your appointment can be given to someone on our waiting list. Cancellations are not subject to a return of fees. Cancellations before 48 hours in advance can be rescheduled with no further fees or deposits.

 

We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service, classes and more without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these terms or any applicable law or regulations. You may discontinue use and request to cancel your account and/or services at any time. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing, with respect to automatically-renewed subscriptions to paid services, such subscriptions will be discontinued only upon the expiration of the respective period for which you have already made payment.

 

You agree to indemnify and hold The Blue Bodhi, LLC harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys' fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any service of the services offered on the website.
