AKA Names: Cornelian, Mecca Stone, Sardius, Artist's Stone.
Locations Found: Predominantly in India, Brazil, and Uruguay. Also found in parts of Russia, Germany, and the United States.
Appearance: Carnelian is a variety of chalcedony that presents with hues ranging from pale orange to a deep reddish-brown. It usually comes in a massive form, rather than crystal, and may contain unique bands of color.
Strengths:
- Mind: Known as a stone of motivation and endurance, Carnelian is believed to foster courage, promote positive life choices, and motivate for success.
